Node: The site of a stem where a bud or leaf is attached. Mouseover photo to the right.
Nucleic Acid: Any group of complex organic acids found especially in the nucleus of all living cells as DNA and RNA
Nucleotide: The building blocks of DNA and RNA, each containing a nitrogenous base and its contingent sugar and phosphate
Nurse Culture: A culture whereby a filter paper separates a callus culture (nurse culture) from a cell structure, which in turn receives nutrients and growth promoting factors diffused through the paper from the callus and from the medium
